ABOUT YESIM

this work is deeply personal

I’m Yesim (pronounced Yeshim), a yoga and meditation teacher, retreat host, and space holder based in London.

My path into yoga didn’t begin on a mat. For many years, I worked in the fast and creative world of media, fashion, and performance as an event planner, speaker, and actress, creating large scale experiences for international brands. While I loved the creativity and movement, something inside me was longing for depth, quiet, and a more honest connection to myself.

More than fifteen years ago, a week spent in an ashram changed everything. What began as curiosity slowly became a daily practice, and over time, yoga shifted from something I did to something I lived. It softened my mind, grounded my nervous system, and helped me move from constant doing into deeper being.

Since then, I’ve completed several yoga teacher trainings, studied with teachers around the world, and continued learning through years of practice, travel, and inner work. Today, I specialise in creating retreats that invite people to reconnect, and return to themselves.

I don’t see retreats as an escape from life, but as a conscious pause. A space where layers can gently fall away, where clarity can return, and where you can remember what truly matters to you. My background in event planning allows me to hold these spaces with structure and care, while my yoga practice brings softness, presence, and depth.

Motherhood has become one of my greatest teachers. It has deepened my patience, compassion, and capacity to hold space, reminding me daily that growth often comes through challenge, honesty, and love. I am a mother of two precious young children.

In my retreats, I guide from lived experience. With warmth, clarity, and respect for each individual journey. My intention is simple: to create spaces where you feel safe enough to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with yourself.

style & approach

My teaching is rooted in love. In body awareness. In deep listening. In emotional honesty.

I don’t separate yoga from life. I see it in the way we move, breathe, rest, relate, speak, and show up for ourselves and others.

My style is a soulful blend of Vinyasa and classical Hatha, holding its roots in Raja Yoga philosophy.

The content of my classes is primarily based on connecting with one’s higher self, and is rounded off with guided breathing techniques and meditation practices to support inner clarity and balance.

Whether I’m holding space on a retreat, guiding a private session, or teaching online, I always return to these pillars:

Breathe. Soften. Listen. Reconnect.

I don’t believe in “fixing” ourselves. I believe in becoming ourselves.

holding space for you

Over the years, I’ve guided hundreds of people through retreats in some of the world’s most breathtaking places – from Bali to Portugal to Turkey.

I collaborate with both individuals and well-known brands to share practices of mindfulness, resilience, and embodiment.

Every space I create, whether on a mat, on a beach, or through a screen, is a space for you to be fully you.

what I love

My family. The sound of my children’s laughter. Bare feet in grass. Ocean mornings.

Writing. Nature. Good food with people I love. Wildflowers. Art that makes you feel.

And honest conversations.

Thank you for being here!
