ATMA BODHA

A 5-Day Immersive Retreat with Yesim & Boniface

Atma Bodha – The Rhythm of Self

The Atma Bodha Retreat is a five-day immersion into awareness, embodiment, and deep inner connection. Guided by Yesim Yuva and Boniface Verney-Carron, this program invites you to journey beyond the surface of the mind and into the intelligence of the body, a place where clarity, vitality, and authentic presence begin to unfold naturally.

Through body, breath, rhythm, and the power of community, you will be guided on a journey of self-reclamation and renewal in one of the most stunning and peaceful resorts – Six Senses Kaplankaya in Bodrum, Turkey.

This program is designed to guide you beyond the surface, to gently uncover the layers that lie beneath, to help you understand yourself more clearly, and to reconnect with your true essence.

The stunning natural beauty of Six Senses Kaplankaya with its turquoise waters, ancient landscapes, and world-class wellness sanctuary provides the perfect backdrop for this transformative experience. Here, in the rhythm of nature and community, you are invited to awaken, breathe, and belong.

The breathtaking atmosphere of Six Senses, a five-star luxury resort located on the magnificent Aegean coast, will be our home for this transformational retreat.

Tucked away in the serene hills of Kaplankaya, Turkey, this extraordinary resort invites guests to embark on a journey of holistic rejuvenation and sensory exploration. From the moment you step foot onto the property, you are enveloped in an atmosphere of unparalleled serenity.

The resort provides a wide range of activities in a unique location surrounded by rich historical sites, including Ephesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

As a part of the retreat package, guests have full access to the award-winning Six Senses Spa – one of the largest spa facilities in the world, spanning over 10,000 square meters. The spa serves as a shining example of holistic wellness and rejuvenation, offering pioneering programs designed to nourish the body, mind, and spirit.

The Retreat Program

Over five transformative days, the Atma Bodha Retreat unfolds as an immersion through body, breath, and awareness – an exploration designed to reconnect you with your natural rhythm and inner wisdom. Each day offers a blend of movement, stillness, and reflection, inviting both release and renewal.

You’ll experience a thoughtful flow of sessions that include yoga, somatic exploration, breathwork, workshops, guided immersions in nature, and moments of deep rest and silence. Some sessions will energize the body and awaken vitality, while others will invite softness, reflection, and emotional integration.

The program has been intentionally designed to meet you where you are, allowing space for personal discovery and authentic connection within the group field. Rather than striving to “achieve” anything, these days are about reconnecting with the deeper layers of yourself, with others, and with the rhythm of life itself.

Throughout the retreat, you’ll be guided by yoga teacher Yesim Yuva and body psychologist Boniface Verney-Carron, whose combined experience in yoga, somatic practices, and body-mind integration offers a truly holistic path to balance and self-understanding.

In between sessions, there is time to rest, swim, enjoy the healing surroundings of Six Senses Kaplankaya, or simply listen to the quiet wisdom of your body.

We recommend taking an early morning flight on May 20th so that you can arrive at the hotel by 3:00 PM, when check-in begins. Our first yoga session will start at 4:00 PM, followed by a group welcome dinner in the evening.

On our final day, Sunday, May 24th, we will gather for a morning practice and breakfast before check-out at 12:00 PM. You are, of course, welcome to spend more time at the resort and take a later flight to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

The full retreat program and detailed daily schedule will be shared approximately three months before the retreat begins.

Here’s how your day at the retreat might look:

  • 08.00 Yoga & Meditation
  • 09.30 Nourishing Breakfast
  • 10.30 Guided Nature Immersion / Free time
  • 13.30 Healthy Lunch at the Beach
  • 15.00 Workshop Mind-Body Exploration
  • 16.00 Deep Breath Work
  • 17.00 Somatic Practice/ Body Work / Yoga
  • 19.30 Delicious Dinner
  • 21.00 Fire Ceremony and Closing Meditation

The rhythm of the retreat moves between group sessions, personal reflection, and moments of spacious silence. Each practice builds gently upon the next, creating a powerful field of connection to yourself, to others, and to nature.

Our retreat welcomes all levels of experience. Whether you are stepping onto the mat for the first time or looking to deepen your existing practice, you will be held and supported in a soulful space of presence and love.

All group activities are optional and included in your retreat package. This schedule is simply here to guide and inspire how your days might unfold.

Beyond the retreat program, there are even more options available, such as spa, tennis, gym, cycling, six senses wellness program, and much more.

You’ll be fully supported, especially if you’re coming alone, and warmly welcomed into a like-minded community.

What You'll Take With You

The intention of this retreat is to reconnect you with your instinct, awaken your inner wisdom, and to better understand how your mind and body work together.

We will work with the concept of Atma Bodha, the awakening of self-knowledge, which invites us to understand ourselves more deeply by realizing who we truly are.

We often know what we need to change but still feel stuck in the same patterns, repeating the same thoughts, reacting to the same emotions, and wondering why it feels so hard to move forward. During these five days, we will explore how to shift that.

Through daily yoga, meditation, somatic practices, breathwork, rhythm, and deep conversations, we will learn how to understand the mind instead of struggling with it, how to listen to the body, and how to respond to life with more clarity and calm.

You will experience workshops and guided talks that help you open up new layers of awareness. Nature will be part of this process, supporting, holding, and helping you find your natural flow again.

It’s about learning to be at peace with yourself, to listen with compassion, and to love yourself exactly as you are. Raw, real, and human.

Dining Experience

At Six Senses Kaplankaya the dining journey is just as intentional and rich as the retreat experience. The kitchen’s inspiration comes from the region’s bounty – Aegean sea, Mediterranean herbs, local artisans – and the resort’s own commitment to freshness, sustainability and mindful nourishment.

After our morning yoga and meditation sessions, we will gather at Sage & Sea Restaurant for a long, nourishing breakfast overlooking the Aegean. The breakfast here feels more like a slow brunch – fresh, colorful, and abundant. Expect local flavors, homemade breads, seasonal fruits, fresh juices, organic eggs, and traditional Aegean specialties, all prepared with care and creativity. The service is exceptional, and every detail reflects the warmth and generosity of Turkish hospitality.

During the day, those who wish can enjoy a relaxed lunch by the sea at the Beach Bar where the menu celebrates the simplicity of Mediterranean cuisine with fresh salads, grilled vegetables, and locally caught fish. It’s the perfect way to unwind between sessions, feeling the sea breeze and savoring delicious, healthy food in a beautiful, relaxed setting.

You’ll have the choice of several unique restaurants and bars, each offering its own atmosphere and flavour:

Sage & Sea Restaurant – Aegean and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine with a generous Turkish-style breakfast and an eclectic dinner menu, all served with sweeping views over the sea.

Wild Thyme Restaurant & Bar – A modern twist on Pan-Asian and fresh vegetable cuisine, featuring open-kitchen concept, sushi, aromatic soups and produce grown in the resort’s organic garden.

Meze by the Sea Restaurant & Bar – Creative Aegean cuisine with freshly caught fish daily and inventive mezze plates that reflect the region’s authentic flavours.

Beach Bar, The Library Café, and The Alchemy Bar – Relaxed beach-style dining, casual grills, artisan cocktails, and experimental herb-and-spice mixology to complement the main dining rooms.

No matter which setting you choose for your meal, the kitchen honours the “Eat With Six Senses” philosophy: using fresh, local and sustainable ingredients, many grown on-site or sourced from artisan producers nearby.

During the retreat you’ll be able to enjoy these exceptional dining options as part of the experience, nourishing your body, delighting your senses and restating the connection between food, nature and wellness.
